After moving to Chicago in 2012, Samuel Mösching worked with singer Maggie Brown, several members of the AACM, the Rusty Jones Quintet and Jimmy Benningons Colour and Sound. He had the chance to play venues like Martyrs, the Logan Center, the Beatkitchen, the Hyde Park Jazz Festival and the Ravenia Festival.
The New Samuel Mösching Trio has toured Europe several times and played in many cities in the U.S. They recorded their first album “Up” in 2013, followed by the EP “Raphael, Gabriel, Michael” and have been hosted by NPR at “The Morning Shift”.
The Trio playes Möschings compositions exlusivly which are between Jazz and European Classical Music.
Bassplayer Mike Harmon has performed internationally and with many world-class artists including Robert Pinsky, Kurt Elling, Steffon Harris, Bobby Broom, Ron Perillo and many others.
Drummer Peter Manheim’s interest and love of Brazilian music led him to Brazil, from where he recently returned after 6 months of studying, teaching, and performing music. He had the privilege of performing with such artists as Gary Bartz, Miguel Zenon, and Robin Eubanks.
