Samuel Payne is a folk singer, song writer, and multi-instrumentalist from Urbana, IL.  A two-time red ribbon winner of the RockyGrass flatpick guitar contest in Lyons, CO, Samuel performs original and American Roots music with infectious enthusiasm and expert skill on guitar, mandolin, and banjo.  His warm vocals, honest delivery, and impeccable rhythm have charmed audiences across the Midwest and beyond.  Inspired by heroes like Doc Watson, Norman Blake, John Hartford, and Tim O’Brien, his music is a unique celebration of American song.
