Like the eponymous garment, your little black dress is any song that hugs all the right curves, works for any occasion, and makes you feel (and sound!) like a million bucks.
This is the Little Black Dress Cabaret, and the performers here – all veteran stage actors by trade – are performing songs that have long hung in their respective closets and don’t often get to see the light of day.
Conceived by Jeff Award winning composer and RBP Music Director Trevor Patrick Watkin, the Little Black Dress Cabaret features a rotating cast of Watkin’s own vocal students showing the power of narrative through song, from the familiar and beloved Jason Robert Brown and Carole King, to the seldom-performed “April Child” by Pressman and Valenti.
Show starts at 10pm. $10 cover. No reservations.
